Is there anyway I can put a forth gen posi carier into my 82 10 bolt. Or can I make it work if I modify something. Please help, thanks.

 

It will fit fine. 100% bolt in deal. BUT your 1982 rear end has 26 spline axles. You need a set of 28 spline axles from a 89-92 car.

The "slp" posi's everyone talks about are actually take-off posi units out of 4th gen camaros. 82-02 had the same rear-ends pretty much. Except the 4th gens are slightly wider...

 

only problem area you may run into, besides axles, is the series of the gear set and the carreir series. with a little luck and clean living all you'll have to do is swap the ring gear over to the new carrier.

 

How easy would it be to put in a 4th gen rear end with traction control?

 

The rear-end is a direct bolt in. But I don't think you could make the traction control work.
