Weird TH350 Problem
Alright I'm in the process of rebuilding my th350 and I have access to a tranny dyno so here it is. Get her all bolted up with the new shift kit and parts and the line pressure in park is fine, reverse had no boost and there was no 3rd gear. Figure its a valve body problem. Pull it off and clean it up some more, find that the 2-3 shift valve was getting stuck. So get it all cleaned up and dyno here again. This time line pressure looks good in park, right around 70-75lbs. Drop it into reverse and no line pressure, same with every gear, even park now. So pull the valve body once again and replace it with a valve body I just kind of pieced together from some old ones. Put it on the dyno and the pressure look fine, has reverse boost and was going through the gears fine until I blew the servo o-ring out and tranny fluid went everywhere. I heard this is a common thing after a rebuild so not a big deal. But heres my question, Could the springs in my shift kit be so strong that their holding something up? I'm going to pull the 1-2 spring and pressure regulator spring out tomorrow and try it. But I'm going through hell here
