Governer or Tranny

My car has almost 100,000 and the tranny stoped working the last month tryied adjust every thing and nothing! So i finally decided 2 get rid of it and get a new one. When i finally took the Tranny out i heard about the governer. I took it out and it was gone!!! I mean no teeth and cracked in 2!! I couldn't find the other piece of it. Now my question is Should i get my friends tranny from his car that i think was rebuilt not 2 long ago and install a transgo shift kit? Or should i put my tranny in which shifted hard in second and put the trans go in that and hope it works??? Thanks alot!

well that pic right there would explain why your trans won't work... what i would do is get your friends trans and putt he transgo shift kit in it and then take your trans get a new gov. and keep it in case you blow a trans again

but if you need your car now and gon't have the cah doe the shift kit just put in a new gov. and it will work just fine.

The governor gear is gone from what I can see, and replacing it is not expensive. The choice is yours.
