Okay guys i asked about the 2800 stall converter from a 200r4 into my 700r4 both were 27spline and called for the same converter at the auto parts house.

However i have replaced the flexplate which was cracked to hell and back and replaced my blown converter with the 200r4 2800 stall//////.

Now it revs fine in park, does okay with the power in reverse and jumps off the line great, but winds out and doesnt shift out of whatever gear its in... my tv vable seems adjusted but the electric hookup sensor on the rear drivers side got obliterated in the swap out, i rebuilt it best i could and snapped it into place . again the tranny winds out with no power as though it wasnt shifting down or up, fluid levels fine and no power from tranny over 15 mph??? WHat the deal and what do i look for next. Is the swap a bad thing? or is my tv cable screwed or what?

The plug in will have no effect except for tq converter lockup.
The TQ converter will fit the 200R4, 82- early 84 700R4's and 200c's all 27 spline. You most likely have a very loose TV cable, try adjusting it again but make sure the throttle is all the way open and your pulling the cable back as hard as you can before you release the lock on the cable. Dont worry too much about the cable being too tight since one wide open romp and it will self adjust.

 

i have further inspected the tv cable and it appears the tranny end has been frayed from the swap out,, 16 year old son may be help in the work but more costly in the long run (HE HE) anyways thanks for the reply i may buy a new one today and see what happens.. its very loose and the nylon sleeve the cable rides in is frayed at the the tranny end so it prob wont last long anyhow]]]]
