Differental Fluid Change
How do i get to the bottom bolts on my rear end the rear swaybar is in the way When i jackl it up and put it on stands am i putting the stans in the wrong spot? i would like to change the fluid since it has been 4 years since it was last done.
Any tips to make this easy would be great i have never changed gear oil before all i have herd is that the oil reaks.
How often should we change out gear fluid btw?

Unbolt the sway bar links and swing it down.
How often is a hard one to answer. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the cars owned by members of this board still have the factory fill in them. Every few years is probably adequate, though, and of course I'd recommend synthetic for the fill.

iM USING MOBIL 1 SYNTHETIC in it. How do i unbolt the swaybar. Last time i had it done i remeberrt the person jsut unbolting it with out takeing off the swaybar.

I just did this last weekend, and I had to use a box end wrench on the bottom 3 bolts, that's all. After the bolts were out, lifted the cover up over the swaybar.
If your swaybar is any closer than that to the cover, sounds like something is wrong. The clamps that hold it on the axle tubes have tabs to keep the clamps from rotating.
Mobil 1 isn't a bad choice, probably in the top 5 for quality, but not in the top 2. However, it's better than any petroleum-based gear lube.

Oh, the strong odor is from the sulfur-based hypoid gear extreme pressure additive. I kind of like it, but then my sniffer don't work too good in general.
