Th350 New install advice!!

Hello, here's my setup:
350 ci motor, Holley stealthram, stock tpi stuff, stock long block
TH350 Street strip trans (built by probuilt) With Torco 9.5 inch 2300-2500 stall range
Steve Spohn crossmember/torque arm
rear is stock 2.73s!!

Here's the problem: i just got the trans installed and the car runnning. at lower rpm just cruising down the street the trans is fine. when i floor the motor the car feels like its really dragging almost like i'm riding the brakes. it takes a while for the rpms to reach max, the transmission downshifts fine and upshifts fine...

i talked to ProBuilt and it cant be anything with the transmission or else the tranny would be toast in a matter of miles, torque converter, maybe but from what i hear they are good torque converters... anyways he says it may be the rear gears...

is there anyone here who is running a similar setup with 2.73 gears???

can those gears really cause the car to drag that much???
