9bolt swap
Hey guy's, I'm planning on swapping a 9bolt into my 92 T/A and i have some questions. I've got a 1987 GTA with 9bolt disc rear and 3.27 gears. I just bought a 1992 T/A convertible that I have many future plans for, it has the gm 10bolt with 3.08 gears and drum brakes. Before I sell off the GTA I want to swap the rears so my question is what else do I need to swap? I figure I will need the brake proportioning valve, ebrake cables, and the rearend assy itself anything else I should swap? The other thing I am wondering about is the speedo gear, The GTA is an auto and the Vert is a 5spd I assume the gears are not interchangeable? If i need to buy new gears are they available? As far as i know the T5 was never offered with the 9bolt 3.27 rearend so can I get aa speedo gear for this combo? Are the driveshafts interchangeable?

Only thing I can tell you is that the driveshafts are interchangeable. Im not positive if the drive or driven gears from an automatic tranny can be swapped into the manual(not sure which one goes where
) If they can be swapped then it would be no problem, I just order these two items for like 75 bucks from the dealer a month ago.
