I read somewhere on this site that poly transmission mounts will ruin your transmission by not alowing it to move with your engine. I have the prothane mount but don't want to put it in if it could cause damage. Could someone elaborate on this?

Someone lied to you. The only thing you may notice is a bit more noise. A poly mount still isolates the tranny from the body, and is has to be able to move with the motor, it's bolted to it with 6 bolts. I am tired of all these "old-timers" that think everything custom, or upgraded is going "to cause more trouble than it's worth" or "break other parts". Bull****. Put that mount in and never think about it again, or go to NAPA and buy a replacement rubber one and change it every year.
