Rearend swap (and other stuff) complete!!!

Well, after nearly a month of downtime, the IROC is road worthy once more. Swapped in a 3.27 rear to replace the 2.77 stocker. Fixed the brake rubbing issue this evening, and got her on the road for a test drive. WHAT A DIFFERENCE. The gears are night and day over stock, and the fuel pump seems to have about 90% remedied the WOT ping. I say this because I am not sure what octane the couple gallons of gas was that my dad put in the new tank. I only heard a tiny bit of ping. Nearly inaudible. All and all, the car is running much better than before, but now the front brakes are in need or replacement BADLY. Going to pick up a master cyl this week and hammer on that perhaps next weekend.

Anyways, incase anyone was wondering... well, what the hell did he replace anyway?!?!?! Heres the list

Gas tank
Fuel Pump(walbro)
Fuel lines
Rear End (3.27 posi)
Axles(new bearings, cups)
Rotors(I-Rotors)
Pads(Hawks)
Calipers(rebuilt, painted)
Brake lines(braided)
Tubular Panhard(non adj)
Lower Control arms(brand escapes me)
Rebalanced Driveshaft
Speedo Gear
Park Brake Cables
Painted stock 24mm rear swaybar
And all new poly bushings, endlinks, mounts, throughout...

On the way
Replace front brakes
Koni Reds all around
New master cyl
Front end rebuild
more poly mounts/bushings

If I missed anything I'll post it up, lol. Heres the final product. You likey!?!?!?

9-Bolt Axle removal

I know it has been a while, but could you outline the process to remove the 9-bolt axles. I want to put on ebmiller's rear PBR brake kit on my 87 9-bolt, but want to understand what to do to get to the backing plates. He said remove axles, but I need more details on the steps.
Thanks,
Scott

remove four bolts holding the axle plates, and slide out the axle. Couldn't be simpler. There are no clips on this rear like there are on other models. But I would replace the bearings while I was at it.

For sure man. Hoping to have headers and a few other goodies on in the next few weeks. The weather is gettin nicer so maybe you'd like to take a nice cruise down 35? I know some killer spots for a photo op. Check this...
