How do you clean a used posi & gears?

I just bought a used torsen posi with gears from a 99 Camaro SS with 66k miles. How can I clean & lube this up for a 'like new' installation?

Diesel fuel, followed by lacquer thinner; no lube is really necessary, just fill the case up with fluid. Maybe put a little white lithium or something in the new bearings you put on the pinion and carrier.

Thanks! I will do that.

Last question--It will sit on the shelf for 3 or 4 months before I install it (converting 26 to 28 spline)...should I let the posi sit in fluid for storage, or just let it sit in the open?

Hose it down with WD-40 and put it in a plastic bag.
