I see a lot of people are upgrading their stock 3rd gen rear ends to the 4th gen.

I'll break my question down.

1. If money is not a problem, which is the best rear end for 3rd gens that can 500+ HP?

2. Which rear end is the best compromise, money/power handling?

I want to start collecting all the parts to do a twin turbo l98 with the T-56, but not sure which rear end to go with.

 

1) 12 bolt
2) 9 bolt
not very quantatative and several differant rears would work equally well.

 

for 500+ Hp i would go with a 9inch ford rear... or a 12 bolt

 

How well would a 4th gen rear do with a TT L98/T-56?

 

4th gen rear ( 10 bolt) is the same as a 3rd gen rear (10 bolt)
