I am in need of a used trans and found one but it is from a v6 s10. I am putting a new trans in my z28 and wondering if it will hold the torque. thanks

I hope mine will work. i just transfered my off of my old 700r4 with the speedo gears and housing to the V-6 used one!
Anyone know of any other major diffrences in the transmissions? what about TQ converter? The trans came out of a 4.3L V-6 blazer i think it was 2wd. i dont know what stall speed is, but would it be better behind a 305 tbi? no real mods as of yet!

well i found out one thing the input shaft for the put on the Torque converter is thicker than a V-6 one and wont allow it to engage all the way!
Any ideas? any thoughts?
thanks for your help!

Well thank you but i searched for the diffrence( this is not a thread i started) but i could have searched for days! I am not trying to rude but there is so much info and people stray from topics or load a thread up with so much stuff sometimes it takes for ever to find the info you are looking for thats why some people just start threads! In hopes of someone knowing, seeing and replying with the info they are looking for! Probaly what i should have done! little help would be nice!
I have already bolted the motor and transmission togther with the the V-6 converter and put the motor and trans in! I guess the only way i will know is to try it!
thanks anyway!
