Pinion bearing?

I just noticed a noise that sounds like its comming from the rear. It's kind of an intermittent scraping sound. I only hear it when Im going around 25 miles an hour while giving it gas, I dont hear it when im just coasting though. If it was something in the differential wouldn't it be doing it all the time? Also when i get up around 65 I get quite a shudder from the rear, enough to vibrate my dash panel all to hell.

Any ideas?

maybe you ought to jack the car up and take a look at the u joints, bearings and anything else you can find that would spin or rub to make the noise.
