HELP 9 bolt question!!!

so i need a new seal and bearing for the left side of my 9 bolt. i took it from an 85 TA and popped it into my 86 camaro (drum to disc swap) so i call up autozone and they ask me :is is a 7.25 ring bearing?" i asked the GM dealer the same thing and got the same question. well my answer was "hell if i know". so my question to you all is it a 7.25 ring bearing? i know theresa bunch of different sizes in the 10 bolt but i didn't know about the 9's. please help so i can stop this diff leak in my driveway

not sure what they're asking you or what you think they're asking but there isn't any thing close to a 7" bearing in any rear end for a car, even a top fuel dragster. why not take your old bearing and seal with you and match it up with the replacement.

I think they want to know if its a 7.65 or 7.75 ring gear rearend, the 9 bolt has a 7.75 ring gear just make sure its for disk brakes when you order the part.

yeah i knew the guy sounded off with the questions. i cannot believe they don't have it by disc or drum in those computers they use. i'll prob end up taking the old stuff down there and matching it up. can't leave it off long though, don't want the insides exposed.

I remember the bearings are called a 'set 9' or something similar to that terminology. Also, the seals are different from side to side (I don't remember those part numbers.) When I asked for them at autozone one seal was $2 and the other was like $9 or something. They didn't ask about my brakes any and I don't have any leaks.
