The other night at 12:30AM, I had the peddle floored and on the 2nd to 3rd shift, it kicked hard, the RPM's soared and I went nowhere. I towed it home. The car will still move both forwards and backwards, just I have to run 4000 RPM's. The fluid level was good and the color was same as it was when I put it in. It is possibly that my only problem could be the torque converter is bad?

 

You can do a stall test/brake torque to check your torque converter. Do it in park too. It sounds silly but it checks the stator. Sounds more like worn cluths or a bad pump thou. Your tv cable may have gone out of adjustment too.

 

hey how do u do the stall check?im having the sma eproblem here use to work fine then i will have to like 3k rpm in first then let of the gas and it will shift to second now today it wont shift to second nore any other gear wat can that be?it stiil gos back and front in first with no problems just wont shift to any gear
