Car: 1982 chevy camaro

Engine: 305cfi

Transmission: 700r4

question about governor gears?

do you need to pull the tranny to change the governor gear? mines a th 200c i think. i know its a 200 for sure though. does anone have any pictures of this procedure or anything? thanks.

The governor is on the side near the back of the transmission.

so is it a pain to replace? i got a haynes book, auto parts stores and a lift, can i do itmyself?

It's pretty easy, pry off the cover and it practically falls out.
