I'm stupid.
Alright so I was putting in my vette servo today, had to lower the trans to get the old one out and the new one in (Don't have to lower it my butt) and the crossmember bolts snapped inside the "frame" I suppose you'd call it. I tried getting PB blaster and putting that in then drill and nothing. Tried using a propane torch and nothing. The drill bit put a little dent the size of a period in the bolt and that's it...Do I have the wrong drill bit or something? Hopefully my girlfriends dad will be coming over tomorrow or her brother might help me....both of whom aren't retarded severly like myself...Any ideas?

I've always had to lower the trans a bit to get the servo out. So whom ever told you that it doesn't need to, maybe . . .
Anyway, as for the bolts snapping , all too common. Need a good sharp drill bit to drill them. It can be done, and use some oil on the drill bit. One method of fixing them is to drill them out and tap for a size larger. For some reason a 7/16 bolt comes to mind.
Then use antiseize on the new bolts. Nothing wrong with drilling a little over and tapping for a larger bolt.

or you can drill out the center of the broken bolt and use a screw extractor, easyout, iv heard them called both. drownd the bolt in PB blaster a day before and then use the easyout and it "should" come out. this is how you can avoid tappping for a larger bolt. also what the bolts thread into is basicly a bolt welded on the inside of the frame.

If there is threads sticking out, get a rotary tool (ie. Dremel) and cut a slot in it, then use a ratchet with a flat-head screwdriver bit on it to get it out. Works for me on lots of stuff really well. Just don't jerk it around, or you'll break off whats left of the threads.

I ended up taking out the interior and cutting the floor right above, then heating the bolts cherry red and just screwing them out. I couldn't drill them, even with a damn sharp drill bit the holes were still messed up. I left the holes in the floor just so if I ever goto change my tranny mount I can easily get the crossmember down.
