Recently purchased the Autometer dash kit from Covans Classic,
but bought the Autometer speedo sender locally.
Tried to install the sender as shown in the instructions but it will not mate up to my cable attatchment on the tranny.
I measured both the cable hook-up and the sender with a caliper.
Sure enough the cable hook-up's outside diameter is bigger than the inside diameter of the Autometer unit.
The difference is not much but it is enough to prevent the sender from properly seating on the cable sender, I have already destroyed one cable hook-up trying to force th two together.
Any suggestions?
