will these gears work?

i am not too sure on this as i know there were about 7 different types of 10-bolts. i got a set of gears (4.10's ) for my 86 Z28 i recently got, and i want to know if they will fit. they came from a K10 10-bolt front axle. i thought those had bigger ring gears, but i might be wrong, anyone know?

thanks in advance!
Josh

you need to know what size or year they are from. you have a 7.5/7.62 ten bolt if the gears are fro mthe same and the seeries is right they'll work.

K trucks use a 8½" 10-bolt. They will not work in a 7½" rear end.

Just FYI, I have the 3.42s out of the front of a 87 K5 Blazer, in my 74 Caprice 454 convertible with a 8½" rear.
