which clutch to get?
which clutch to get?
my clutch is beyond slipping
the car cant even move now no matter how high i rev the engine, it just spins as if it is neutral
is the ram clutch from summit a good replacement? i dont think i need an incredibly strong clutch, im not making that much power(mods are in the sig)
what clutches are you guys using, and how hard is it to install a new one?
thanks for any input

I've used about every brand of clutch there is, I can recall B-W, Ram, hayes, McLeod, CF, and some others over the years. Every single one, without exception, has worked well (Ram included). The installation makes the most difference: leaving no corners cut, getting everything perfect just once, makes it stay like that for 60,000 miles or more. That means new pilot bearing, grease in the right places but nowhere else, resurface or replace the flywheel, replace the clutch fork if it's worn, same for the clutch gear bearing retainer. And so forth. Anything that's not perfect, will come back and bite you in the shorts.

I installed a Centerforce Dual Friction. I love it ! It actually lightend up the pedal, not sure if thats the clutch or pilot, throwout bearing or what.
And man does it grab at high RPM's. I highly recommend it, having said that thou, I have never tried any of the other brands.
