my friend has an 89 camaro rs. we swapped out the 6 with an lg4. about 3 days ago he was going to work and out of the blue the car started to act up. so he called me at 630 and told me to meet him at his house. well anyway i checked it out and his trans would slip in and out of first gear.like i would put it into drive and give it gas the car would rev than kick itno gear then pop out again.we changed the fluid and bought a new torque converter.after we put the new torque converter in it started to tick real loud but same problem. he gave up and wanted to junk it but it is his baby and i wouldnt let him. i need some help please

 

you may have broken the pump rotor.you shouls install a preesure gage and verify 90 psi at idle and a steady climb to 180 to 235 at full tv pressure
