well i know that these might sound like stupid question but oh well. i am doing a conversion from an auto to manual. got the maunual and the car will soon be running. does the tranny actually sit at angle like that. it looks weird to me. also how in the world am i supposed to check the fluid with it sitting like that. and another where do i put the fluid in at. is it the shifter. oh yeah on the article about doing the swap there was a piece of info missing that does need to be put in there. the torque arm bracket on the tranny is different than the one on a auto. didnt know that till i was about to put the tranny up and i had to go search for a bracket. if i would have known about the differeent brackets things would have defently went smoother. please do not bull**** this one. i need these questions answered soon. one so the car can be crivable and 2 to shut my dad up he keeps whinning about the tranny being in there all weird and sh$@. thanks

Yes, it goes in there tilted at an angle. Looks weird, but that's how it goes.
Fluid fill is a plug on the pass side about halfway up the case from the bottom, near the front.
DO NOT attempt to remove the thing on the driver's side that looks like a plug. It isn't one. Instead, an internal part of the transmission will fall out, and you'll have no 5th or reverse.

Also, I would car my car perfect if it had a manual tranny. Rough estimate... what's this conversion cost?

the cost of the conversion all depends on the condition of the parts. i have put in close to maybe $1k on this little project. tranny cost me a little over 500 with shipping, it came with bellhousing, flywheel, and the hydraulics. the pedals i bought separate before the tranny that cost 25, the flywheel was incorrect for my motor so i had to buy a fly wheel that was 145, standard oem, the clutch ran me about 300. then when i inspected the hydraulic components the master cylinder was broken so i had to buy another that was about 60, since i was buying a new master cylinder figured i ought to buy the slace cylinder that was another 60. and thats about it that all adds up to 1090. heres a little advice, try to find a friend that owns a lift, i have one and man it made the job a little easier, and if you do the conversion make sure you have the right parts. for instance the torque arm bracket is different. your bracket off the auto wont work on a manual. that cost me about 2 hours of work running around to junk yards trying to find. i got that for a discount though. 5 finger, so it was real cheap. the lady lied to me and told me there was no manual tranny on the shelfs. amazing what you find when you look for yourself. i havent got mine running yet because i am takign a break from it right now. been working on it all day. sleepy now.

you could do it for 500 . find a used wc t-5 myns not a wc but was behind a v6 so i'm not to worryd . then fidn wether fly wheel is one pecie or 2 peice rear main. depending on you engien is a 85 down 2 pice 86-up one pice. then new clutch and fluid. but make sure you get every single part. cluch peddle assmebly comes with brake and everything. master cyl. salve. res. and brakets. i've spent like 600 but i've screwed up alot. now i have 2 t-5s one in my car one that i had to buy inorder to get the parts i need'd lol. it's not all that hard. if you have the right tools and everything you need. should take about 1/3 of the tme it's taken me. lol

yes you could get away with doing it for about 500. but i chose to go with some new parts. when i purchased the tranny, it came with everything to convert, but i just wanted to get some new parts so that way i knew there was nothing wrong with them or i wouldnt have any problems down the round. the flywheel, i screwed up on, the flywheel was for a 2 piece rear main, and mine was a 1 piece, oops.
