I don't beleive so. I think all T5's 88 and later were World Class T5's.
I know they switched over completely in one year, I just can't remember what year it was exactly. There is a way to tell.

in 87 it was an option but 88 it became standard and i believe that is for all models camaro,firebird, and trans am i know for a fact the formula's and trans am had as an option in 87 my firebird has one from the factory

check to see if you have a black vent pipe coming out the passenger side/front going up towards the bell housing
