TH350 going in, got a 86 Cutlass D/S will it fit

ok, i am currently in the BOP swap with an Olds 350 and a short tail TH350, but i have the drive shaft out of the 86 Cutlass that the combo came from. my question is i have been searching and it doesnt add up. it is said that i could use a drive shaft from a th200c trans, but that the stock 700 one is 3 inches too short, but if i had a 9" tail shaft then it will fit? i thought the short tailed 350 are 3"?? or are they 6"??? OR can i use the Cutlass one with out a problem??? PLEASE Help me, i am so confused!!!

The g-body driveshafts are too long for your car.

To give you an idea:

A Chevy (BBC) with a scattershield (same depth as a stock bell) and a Chrysler Hemi 4spd (longer than anything in any f-body) and a Dana 60, all in a g-body, can use an 83-2002 f-body driveshaft for length.

The cutlass shaft could be shortened.

JMD, only you and Crazy Bill would have figured that out.

The Cutlass driveshaft can be shortened
