Help I need info ASAP
Hey all; today, I did a 9-bolt swap on my Camaro. Wasn't overly hard, just a lot of little annoying problems came up. Unfortunately, I couldn't complete it in 7 hours..hey hey this is my first time doing something this big and I never one anything like it, so don't flame me
Anyway, all was well until I went to hook up the driveshaft to the yoke on the 9 bolt. Myself and the auto hobby shop manager thought that the yoke on the 9 bolt was different from the 10 bolt. After playing with it for a little bit, we got it seated correctly, and it appeared to be good. Just to be safe, is there really a difference between the yokes that would stop me from using the one that worked with my 10 bolt?
Also, another question...are the bolts that jold the u-joint in the yoke different? I highly doubt they are, but they were really hard to turn and I checked but they were not cross threaded. I think that the bolt holes are rusty and dirty, which was why they were so hard to turn. I'm gonna go through with the thread chaser and clean em up. But, how hard should the bolts be to turn? I actually snapped one off; half of it is now in the hole on the yoke. I gotta drill it out and get a replacement.
Those two were the only problems I had in this swap. I'm tired, but I think me and my friend didn't do too bad; he's never worked on a car before, and I have, but never anything this big. Well thanks for your help guys if you have any to provide.

I am not an expert but I'd have to say that if the u-joint fits in the yoke, it should be good to go. Bolt it down and check it over before you drive it. Thread
