I have a standard rear-end with 3:42 gears in my car that i'd like to add a factory posi unit too.Can i just get a posi out of a 10-bolt equipped vehicle( like an Jimmy or Blazer-S10)and install it in my differential while keeping my gears?I know i've got to have the third-gen rearend to retain the torque arm or i could just swap rearends.Could someone outline the procedure if possible?thanks.

 

yeah if the spline and series match just swap the ring gear over, check back lash and contact and you're all set.
