Trans brake??
Hey guys, I'm probably gonna buy a th400 from probuilt soon and I was thinking that aroudna 3300 stall would suit my car pretty good, Now my question is when you have a trans brake does that allow you to launch at any rpm you desire or only lets u go to your max stall without any power to the wheels?? I have a t-5 now and I leave the line at 4500rpm and pull 1.7 60-foot times and I am afraid that without being able to launch it that high I am gonna lose some tenths and also cause of the power the 400 pulls.. Now am I right here?? any suggestions?? thanks

really?? that sounds great.. so what your saying is I don't really need a transbrake at all?? Now I have 90/10 drag struts, v-6 rear springs, edel. panhard rod, and some lakewood LCA's oh yea and no front swat bar and skinnys, Now I went 12.70 with drag radials and wunt to go mid 11's when I'm done. Can your trans do this for me no problem?? Also what stall would you recomend and with a manual valve body what of pattern is it, forward or reverse, thanks
Just use the standard forward pattern full automatic. If you want to manually shift it you can, but when driving around town leave it in drive or overdrive, works best this way.
