another question, what sort of mountings/bushings are fitted on a standard V6 with T5 on the torque arm? and if these were to fail or go bad what sort of problems could i expect as i have a wobbly car at the moment , i know the tranny mount has gone but i suspect i have movement from this aswell.

My torque arm mount is gone and when my car goes into 2nd hard sometimes it bumps the floor. As far as I know every stock torque arm just got a crappy rubber mount. The poly ones are alot better than stock.
What exactly do you mean by a wobbly car?? Is the panhard bar in good shape??

 

i dont know if the panard bar is in good shap, when i say wobbly car i mean when you touch the throttle the car sort of jerks back and forth, at first i thought it was somthing to do with some sensors or somthing but i have changed most of them now and i know the tranny mount is gone because as the car is jerking you can see the gear stick jumping up and down, if the tranny mount has gone and the box is moving around then surley it will have an effect on the rest of the drive train what do you think?

 

You might check the motor mounts. If one or both are shot, the motor will rock.
