Quick tranny Q

I have access to an old 4 speed out of a '79 chevy 3/4 ton truck...

not sure of the gear rarios inside or even what the heck it is but since my TH400 is toast i was thinking about tossing in a 4 speed. i know it could take the abuse.. but i have a feeling that the granny gear would make me pull some massive wheelies..

anybody have more info on the late 70's GM truck 4 speed tranny's ?

Thanks
