gahh blew my tranny??

92 700 r4,, slipped it into nuetral this mornin on accident and now i have no reverse, park acts like its in gear but it doesnt go anywhere and if i rev it it dies.. nuetral acts like its in gear like its drive and i can push the car in all the gears but park like its in nuetral with the car off... whatsup? am i gonna have to swap my tranny out?

Axle/Gears: 9-bolt w/ 3.23's
Id check the shift linkage first. Sounds like its worn out and not moving the trans to the right gear.

not the linkage, thinkin its the sprague gear. Bassically to sum up the problem the trans is not letting go of the rear axle no matter what gear it is in, so in reverse it holds still, cancels its own motion. in nuetral it goes forward and in park it tries to go forward till it catches. trans is screwed so ima put a shift kit in my other one and drop it in the car. hooray.
