New tranny has different tail shaft.

I just received my new tranny that i bought off ebay, and i got to looking at it and it doesnt have the hole in it for the arm that goes back to the rear end. I am having it done at a transmission shop, they can just take the tailshaft off the old one in the car and put it on my new one right?

as long as you bought a 700r4 to replace the one thats in there then yes they can just swap the tail shafts and you should be just fine...

Yea both are 700R4. All you do is take the bolts out, pull the tail shaft off and put the new one on right? In other words the tranny shop shouldnt charge me extra right?

It's not even the tailshaft that's swapped, just the housing. Takes under a minute.
