Money well spent on trans cooler!

I always liked the way my trans shifted when cold especially the 1-2 shift. But when it got hot it was very sloppy.. Anyways a month ago I ordered a summit 10" x 17" transmission cooler and a B&M shift kit. I installed the cooler first to see if there would be a change in the shift firmness once the engine warmed up. Well man !, I think I'm going to leave the shift kit on the shelf now cause it shifts nearly as firm cool as when cold .I'd like a little more firmness in the 2 through 4 shifts, but I hear that the B&M kit is only good for the 1-2....So is it time for a different servo? or Transgo kit ? I'll get a pic of the cooler installed soon

Trans-go kit if anything. It's the only kit that does all the "good" things to improve your trannies performance. Get a vette or billet 2-4 servo, along with the low-reverse boot valve and the mega valve and the other improvements that are in the trans-go kit. Oh, and get a new TV valve spring (the one that actually actuates the valve in the valve body when the plunger is pushed in). It might be included in the kit though.

So will I be dropping the tranny now? If so, I might as well wait till I can afford a good performance torque convertor..

I see a cascading effect in progress..

Might as well reclutch it if you're going that far..

You mean a rebuild It only has 73,000 miles on the original trans. I'd rather wait till there's major slippage, which probably won't happen for some time with the cooler
