i was taking a left turn when i heard a bang, then my car was fine, driving good and everything, then when i pulled over to check my car out, i pushed the accelerator and my car didn't move (in drive) so i rolled into a parking spot. then i put it in reverse and i hear a loud grinding and it won't move in reverse. so no gears work. the thing is, the grinding sounds like its coming from my torque converter. is it possible for your torque converter to go out before your tranny. my tranny showed no signs of being on the verge of going out, it ran prefect...any thoughts??

 

ok nevermind, i did a search and answered that myself, but, when a tranny shifts hard, like mine did, is it possible the i could have destroyed a sunshell because i was reading they are weak

 

crap I hope not.. that's what mine does and it has 130k on it
