Right now I have the eaton gov-lock in my rear end.That only came in the opt. 3.42 gear ratio I think, (might be wrong). I noticed that it was starting to scrub a little more than it should be on corners, so I dropped my cover to find part of the governor gear laying in the bottom. After reading many other tech articles I think I will go with a series 3 carrier with the 4 spring clutch set up. But I am wondering, in the 1985 iroc, what number of spline was the axles? 30?

 

up till 88 the were 26 spline after that they went to 28`s
