I have a 90 Formula with a 700r4 and a 5.7 TPI. I want to get a used 700R4 to rebuild to put in place of my junk tranny but don't know what will and will not work with my speedometer and such. I was hoping somebody could tell me what I needed and what would and would not be a direct replacement.

Since you already have a 700r4 pretty much any 700r4 is a direct replacement. If it doesnt come from an f bod, thats no big geal, you can take your tailshaft and switch em. That way your original speedo stuff stays in too, no need to worry about that either.

 

i agree with ljnowell they are all the same and to change the sppedo and gears is a breeze.
