I need a new stall converter

I know carbed 350's not rearends or trannies

Here is my question:

Basically I'm running 590ish (ISH) flywheel hp with a Vortec s/c and I can't get traction with my current unit I BELIEVE it is 1800rpm but the guy that installed it for me while I was gone on work said it was one the manufacterer suggested (bs) I can't get traction now matter how much I feather, I basically gotta idle out till 40 then hammer, just doesn't feel natural and i am always behind in a race.

What would you suggest? I am installing some 3.43's this weekend for traction (4.11 TOO TOO LOW)

Sounds more like you need to get some suspension mods. 540hp w/ stock suspension, no wonder you cant get traction I didnt read a mod list of yours though, I'm just assuming you have stock suspension.

Also, new Z rated tires help
