Well.. i think its my transmount???700r4

well anyway when i'm at a light or sumtin and just get the gas a nice tap say 1/4 throttle then get off cause the car infront of be wont go.. i get a BANG!!!! like i jacked the trans up then slammed it down.. im like WTF... so today i just jacked up the car.. looked at the mount.. and it don't look like anything is broken. I'm clueless..

Put a pry bar in there and see if u can move the trans up and down between it and the mount

later

i took a bar did what u said.. trans mount is holding up... everything feels stiff the only part that is moving up is where that big rubber bushing is...it seems fine to me

Hey as u can see in the pic.. right below the trans that rubber mount looking thing looks pretty toasted... theres not supposed to be any play in it is there? cause its liften up a bit right there.. here i circled it in the pic... where can i get this mount

thaa "big rubber thing" is the trans mount as people reffer to it you can get it at any auto parts store forun around $8 but i would highly reccommend spend the $25? i think to get the energy suspension poly trans mount i broke 4 stock trans mounts in my 89 rs in one month put int and after market and didnt have a singleproblem they had them on the shelf at auto zone

you have to go in and look on the shelf. ... it's on the floor where you walk around and look at stuff (it is where they keep the endlinks and stuff) just go down all the rows you will find it.

Exactly haha im pretty sure they should since the one by me has it and since there a chain they should all have the same stock if nto pick up that one from summti as long as its the polyurethane mount not the rubber one

there are two trans mounts, the secondary one will not work since that I beleive is for a 2 piece crossmember from the earlier cars.

this is teh one you need,
355-3-1108G

You may need to make the hole in the crossmember a little bigger to fit the bolt that comes with the mount. Do not use any bolt that fits in your crossmember hole otherwise it will strip the mount, use the bolt that comes with the mount and enlargen the hole if needed..
I ended up stripping out my mount since I didn't want to drill it at the time.
