700r4 and lockup

I just changed the 700r4 out and installed a stock lockup torque converter. I have all the lockup setting factory but have a question.

When it's in third and about 38mph it locks up, then it goes into overdrive and comes out of lock up then lockups again.

Makes it feel like it's a 6 speed. 1,2,3,LU,OD,LU again.

Lockup is programmed as factory, 38LU, 36UL in both 'Low gears' and 'Not low gears'.

The 4th gear switch is also programmed as factory which is '4th Gear N.O.' Not checked.

Any suggestions?

This is normal for some units.

Well I'll be darned. And I thought something was wrong with it. I might raise the OD mph a bit. It's about 42 now and that's where I cruise on most streets around here.

Thanks for the response!
