Very Strange Problem With Tranny
Very Strange Problem With Tranny
Ok heres the problem. I broke my b&m 2400 converter at the track and put a yank 3200 in it. I went back to the track and was on my way home and it started making this weird noise. So i jacked it up and saw that the flywheel was hitting the starter gear face. I talked to the guy who built my tranny and to yank and we all agreed that the new converter broke again. So yank sent me a new converter. It still does the same thing but only in reverse and when it shifts into second gear or all the time when its wide open. Is there anything in a tranny that would relate revers and second gear together. Please help nobody can figure this out and race season is starting soon.
Thanks
Matt

I had a similar problem when I ran a broken tci converter. The out of balance condition knocked out the thrust bearing in the crank. This allowed the crank to move foward and back. Hope this isn't your problem but it is worth checking.
