i'm rebuilding the rear end out of my 84 camaro. i'm putting in a posi carrier from a 97 z28, 28 spline axles, and probably 4.10 gears. it will be behind a vortec headed 350 with a fairly decent cam(probably a crane 282). i'm not going to run drag radials or slicks, probably something like dunlop sp5000 245/50-16s. how do you think it will live?
my brother's 97 camaro with a few things done to it had some nasty wheel hop and a 6 speed and never broke it, so i don't see why i would with an auto and not much more power

that 10 bolt built that way will be just fine...even helps a lot more that you won't be running slicks or drag radials.
if you're just running street tires, don't worry about it, you won't have any problems as those Dunlop's are probably not sticky enough to get any good traction, especially with 4.10 gears. Now if you start running slicks, then yeah, its on borrowed time.
