You can get a chip from a manual car and it will work fine. You can also have someone just burn the bin onto a new chip for you. If you know someone of course.

What is your rear end gear size? 2.73, 3.42 , etc. Post it up and I will get the right bin for you.

torque arm bracketry is different, but the rubber mount itself is the same.

On my v6, the trans cross member is different I belive (not 100% sure).

shifter plate, shifter, hydro lines, peddles, ecm/prom, rear gears(maybe, not all), flywheel, bellhousing, tranny, some wiring.

You dont really need to change the chip. I didnt on mine, which is the same as yours. All I did is reset the minimum idle air and it runs awsome. The flywheel is much lighter than turning the auto (torque converter, pump, ect.)so the idle will go up.

right now i am not going to change the chip i am just going to try to make the idle be lower like said how to before..... any way im pretty sure i have everything to do this and i just bought a brand new clutch kit for it today o just have to go pick it up in a few....

also my tranny has "borg warner" on it.... is this a good tranny to have?

i still need to find a fly wheel for my swap though... does any one know ware a good place is to find one online... through GM they want like 300 bux.... ware can i find one used or after market for cheaper....

also if any one could post some pics of all the pieces needed for this swap i want to make sure i have everything to do it... or other wise i will post a pic or two of the parts i got for the swap.... because i wasnt the one who took the swap parts out of the donar car....

any way so i can use my stock auto chip and get away with it.... how exactly do i go about lowering the idle after the swap to make it a good driver being it will be idleing much higher then needed after this....

also i have a posi 3.23 rear with disc breaks so it looks like ill get by with my rear end.... or do you guys think other wise about this.... should i think about 3.73s ?

any way also i was under the asumption that drive line wise i would get away with everything.... whats with the torque arm hook up... is there something that i am not aware of that i will need or will the T5 mate up to my drive shaft and torque arm well enouph....

also again i have a "borge warner T5 "is this a good one to have it looks to be in very very good shape and i have a brand new clutch in the box still for it...

please help me out guys i realy realy hate automatics and want this to work out for me...

also you auto guys that swiched to T5 how did you like it.... what are the pros and cons of doing this to my car.....

borg warner is the brand that gm used, so you basically have a gm transmission.

On the left side of the tranny, near the tail. Their is a mount where the torque arm slips into. You need that bracket system for a manual. Your auto has one, but its different. Driveshafts slines from 85 to 2002 are same auto or manual.

Cross member, someone said the v6 vs v8 system is different, so your current cross member may work.

try searching on car-part.com for a flywheel, call the yards, do not email. I have so far had great luck off that site.

OO, their is a bracket that goes to the cat-converter, it is different on auto vs manual, it mounts up on the right side tailshaft of the tranny.

I like it alot better than the auto. the only problem with my clutch system is something always acting up causeing the clutch not to disengae. but other than that i love it. my gas mileage went up a little bit preformance went up a little. all around i don't really have a complaint with it. good luck with the swap.

damn thats high. mine only cost about 150. and that was before my discount. try summit or jegs i don't know what the prices are but it they will give a good estimate on aftermarket flywheels.

i bought mine from advance auto when i was still an employee there. it is just a stock one though. it took me a while to find the correct one becasue there access to flywheels is limited for some reason. I will see if i can come up with a number or some more info for you.
