Rear axle code help

Car: 1982 MSE, 1988 S10 Blazer
Engine: 305 in both!
Transmission: 200c / Th700r4
Axle/Gears: 3:73 / 3.42
Rear axle code help
Went to the junkyard today and found an '84 Z28 HO with rear disc brakes. I'm thinking about picking it up if the gears are right for me. The code stamped on the axle tube is 6EC. Does anyone know what gears are in it?

Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
The only way to know, is to pull the cover and either count the teeth, or find the tooth count numbers stamped onto the ring gear.
