RPO MD9 and MXO

I used the RPO decoder and got:

MD9 : TRANSMISSION, AUTO 3 SPD, THU 125 CLUTCH
MXO : MERCHANDISED, TRANS, AUTO PROVISIONS, O/D

I thought my car had the 700r4, but after reading the de-coding I researched the th125 and discovered it's a front drive transaxle.
The car is a 91 RS with the V6.

What transmission is in my car and what do the RPO codes mean?

Also, I have codes IPB and R8T that were not in the database. I may have copied them wrong and will have to double check. Does anyone know what any of this means? Couldn't find anything searching. Thanks.

Re: RPO MD9 and MXO

I have a 89 trans am, with 305 TPI. My dealer sticker also says MXO.
Does that tell you what tranny it is? If not how do I find out?
