trans go **** kit question

i ordered the Trans-Go 700R4 Heavy Duty Shift Kit #92 from the pro built site and i took it in a shop (i only went to this one shop ) and the guy said that they have to take out my transmission for the installation and that it would be like a grand to get it installed now i thought u didnt have to take the tranny out n that it was a fairly simple installation i was thinking the installation would run me any where from $120-250 ?? is the guy wrong?? im dying to get this **** kit installed !!

Go to a different shop. They are ing you. $75-125 is about how much a good shop will charge you.

That sounds like a rebuild price to me. Talk to some local speed shops and see if they can do it of reccomend someone who can.

hell yeah, they are f-ing you over. i paid 1000 for shift kit install, torque converter install, and a performance 450hp tranny rebuild, and got 12 month/12000mile warranty. all that for a 1000bucks. not a bad deal.
