T5 Bellhousing question
Is there more than one available bellhousing?
I am in the process of swapping in a T5 for my auto.
I picked up a rebuilt 5 speed from a local shop and a bellhousing/hydraulic clutch assembly from a wrecker but they will not mate up properly.
The transmission I bought has the camaro tailshaft but the 4 mounting holes do not line up with the bell housing.
I looked through my repair manual and my current bellhousing looks identical to the one in the picture, it has 4 mounting holes with a large horizontal gap between mounting holes.
Whereas the transmission has 4 mounting holes spaced closer together horizontally, but further apart vertically.
I'm guessing I got the wrong transmission from the shop, but am not sure.

Possibly a Ford or late V6 F-body trans? Their pattern is a lot farther apart vertically.

Hmm, thanks for the help.
Anyone have any pics of the camaro T5 bolt pattern?
I'm having a hard time with the company I bought the tranny from.

oh, and for a third gen T5 there are two: 83 mechanical linkage and 84-92 hydraulic linkage.

Ahh, thank you for the picture. That is the exact same as my bellhousing.
I took the transmission into the shop after I ran some numbers on it over the internet.
Turns out the box part was from a capri or mustang. I told this to the guy, he gave me some attitude for a bit, saying what I looked up on the internet was BS.
Then one of the rebuilders came out and said it was a mustang bolt pattern. They said they would get it right for me.
I'm going to send them pictures over email to them so they can make sure it is right this time.
