I've run into what is probably a first timers simple mistake, but none the less, I'm stumped.

I have 2 9 bolts. My original 2.77 that came with my Iroc, and a new 3.27 that is getting swapped in. At the moment, both are apart, and I can't get the passenger side axle in all the way. It seems to be about an inch too long. Both passenger side axles fit in the old 2.77 just fine, neither fit in the 3.27. Heck, they were obviously in there to begin with...nothing has changed that I know of, what could my problem be?

I did a bit of searching on here recently using 9-bolt AND years and I believe it was in the FAQ thread, I read a bit about having the side gears lined up so that the axles could be reinstalled.

I gave it some gentle massaging with a rubber mallet and it went right in.

I guess I just didn't want to force it at first. It didn't take much.
