T56 GUYS!!....What clutch/flywheel combos are working

I am in the process of converting from an automatic to a T56...I have a 2 peice rear main seal 350 in the car....i'm pretty sure i want to go with a lightweight flywheel? (Feedback requested on this) and a fairly strong clutch, something that i can beat on a little and not have it slip on me..
Let me know what some of you all are running and how it's working out.
Just making sure....We must run 2peice rear main flywheels with 153 teeth correct? Also my internals of my engine were balanced so I assume I need an externally balance flywheel???
Thanks alot for any feedback.

You need a neutral balanced flywheel; same as what's on it now.

I have the Centerforce one. It is NOT lightweight unfortunately.

The only lightweight one I know of off the top of my head is Fidanza. It is quite light, in fact almost as light as your wallet will be after you buy it. There may be others but I don't know.

Same here, got the centerforce flywheel on the turbo car. Along with a Spec stage 3. Seems to have held up pretty well at 8 lbs. of boost for last season...

I as well have his same question. My new block is a 1969, so I need the 2 piece for the T56.

So Centerforce is best? I have one on my T5 now, and I love it, but I wasn't sure about the T56! I think the one for that is around $360.

I'm running the McLeod billet aluminum street twin w/ the LT1 T56... It's not cheap (guessing $800 or so w/ flywheel, clutch, and pressure plate?) Weight seems similar to the stock steel LT1 setup, but with much more holding power. This is with the Dart LittleM block and 2 piece rms.

I'm running spec aluminum flywheel (1-pc seal) with stage 2/3 hybrid clutch. Lightweight flywheel is great, but took a little getting used to. I think it would be like stock with a different clutch (like the centerforce it replaced). Going from 3.50 to 4.11 gears made it alot easier, though.

I had the Centerforce steel flywheel 700107 (not light at about 35 lbs) and a SPEC stage 3 for over 5 years....when the clutch finally wore out I stepped down to a stage 2 as the carbon 4-puck was waaay more grab than I needed for an N/A car. The stage 2 is just getting broken in, and it drives great. I haven't beaten on it yet, though.
