axles need to put 4.10's in stock rear end

Transmission: 350, 6200 stall, w/ brake
Axle/Gears: soon to be strange 5.14
axles need to put 4.10's in stock rear end

hey guys i have a 85 camaro with the stock rear end. i believe there are 3.42's in there but i havent verified that. i want to go to 4.10's with a diff. what spline axles will i need to do all this. i have the gears, but i need a diff and the axles to complete the job.

axles spline count has nothing to do with gear ratio, 26 or 28 would work the same. just get a carrier and a set of axles that match

Axle/Gears: Ford 9"/31 spline spool/4.86
Unless someone has changed it, you 85 will have 26 spline axles. If you're going to buy a new posi, you'll need to know that. If you're just buying gears, the 7-1/2 or 7-5/8" gears will bolt to either carrier. The 3.42 carrier should be a 3 series so the 4.10 gears will have no problem fitting on the carrier.

i changed gears in my 94 which has the same rearend and i didnot need to change axles. there isnt a need to change then unless u just want o upgrade or they are damaged.
