need advice w/ tranny bearing race

Hey guys, I am in the process of redoing my T56 (there is a post on here dedicated to that project) and I am almost done cleaning/replacing everything except for one outer bearing race.

It is the one that is pressed into the 4th gear on the input shaft. The race is for the bearing which is sitting on the main shaft. Here's the picture of that race.

My question (probably obvious by now) is how to get that thing out with minimal damage. TKOPerformance has been providing me invaluable help through out this rebuild process and for this thing he created a home-made tool. It seems like this is a pretty common setup for all tranny's out there and I would have thought that some one would be selling some kind of puller to get things like this out.

So before I go and start cutting, welding and measuring, I wanted to see if I could get other people's opinion on how to remove this thing.

TKO, if all else fails, a blueprint for that tool of yours might help. Don't worry, I'll keep your future patent safe
