You need to remove the center console and remove the protective cover around the base of the shifter. After that is removed you unbolt the stock shifter which is held down with 4 bolts. Clean the mating surface and apply a thin layer of RTV. Mount the new shifter and bolt it down. Put everything back together in the reverse order of removal.

I am not sure how Hurst has you set the stops but I am sure ift is no different than any other shifter. You need to put the tranny in 3rd and then screw the stop so that there is only a slight gap between it and the shifter handle. Tighten it down and do the same thing for the lower stop by putting the tranny in 4th.

This pic shows you my Pro 5.0 install.

Fear not, it isn't that bad at all. The pic is intimidating but I also have all of the HVAC controls hanging out. You don't need to go that far and others didn't even have to remove the whole console. It has been about 3 years since I put that shifter in but I was able to do it in less than an hour. Basically you take off the stereo face plate along with the plate that surrounds the shifter. Once you can peek in you can located the bolts and remove the console. It isn't held in by anything other than a few bolts. You don't need anything other than a few simple hand tools and a socket or two. Oce you get those face plates off you can peer in and see what you have to do. It really isn't that hard. These cars are pretty simple.
